The benefits of outsourcing your recipe photography

As a food blogger, you're often juggling multiple tasks, and dedicating your time to food photography can be daunting and time-consuming. The benefit of outsourcing your recipe photography to a professional food and beverage photographer allows you to reclaim valuable time to focus on other core activities, such as recipe development, keyword research, and writing SEO-rich food blogs, to name a few. This strategic allocation of resources can lead to a better return on investment (ROI) by leveraging your strengths in areas where you excel, ultimately driving business growth.

Here’s Why Hiring Me is a Game Changer

While you might have ventured into food blogging to showcase your culinary expertise and passion for recipe creation, you may view food photography as an afterthought and a time-consuming task. This is where I come in. I'm Ikram Ali, a cake decorator and baker turned food photographer. I blend the skills I gained from Baking and Pastry Arts with my knowledge of visual storytelling to create appetizing images and engaging short-form content. By entrusting the recipe photography to a seasoned professional with a background in culinary arts, such as myself, you can rest assured that your recipes will be professionally recreated and beautifully captured.

Customized Imagery

I understand that each food blogger has their unique aesthetic preference and brand identity, whether it's bright and airy or dark and moody or even a fusion of these styles. Therefore, I work closely with my clients to understand their brand ethos and desired mood, tailoring my photoshoots to reflect their style and personality. This personalized approach results in strengthened brand authenticity as I'm able to create visually appealing images and videos that will resonate with your audience.

Breakdown of the Process

  1. Discovery Call: This is where we discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit. (Click here on my services pages so we can hop on a quick 10-15 minute discovery call with NO OBLIGATIONS.)

As a fellow introvert, I dislike the feeling of being sold too. So  just think of this as a call between friends to see if we collaborate well together :)

  2. Proposal: A proposal and contract will be sent out usually 24-48 hours after our discovery call.

  3. Pre-production Phase: I will use the reference images to create a mood board and schedule a date for the shoot.

  4. Shoot Day: enough said!

  5. Post-production: I'll send you a link to the gallery to pick 6-8 images to be edited to match your desired aesthetics—usually delivered within 2 weeks of signing the contract and receiving the retainer.

  6. Delivery: Your choice of high-resolution edited images will be sent through a gallery.
